There are quite a few songs credited soley to Portnoy, which means he has written riffs. Lots of them.

Are you talking DT or including the rest of Portnoy's projects there? There are NO Dream Theater songs credited soley to Portnoy - the only band members to get sole writing credits are Petrucci and KevMo.

Hmm it seems I was remembering lyric credits and not music. Carry on..

I do believe he still has quite a bit of input with it all though, so point still stands.
