very sad article

OH MY GOD, I wrote "huh?" responding to aramism saying "he was a vet as well" because I thought he meant Veterinarian  So I'll save anyone else the trouble and just post this myself:

Wo, Canada has a public health system but not for the dentist. I didn't know it was so cheap in Finland! Here a root canal is around 600$! And if you have 2 : 1200$!

on-topic : I don't know if the guitarist in question had insurance or not. He was a veteran he surely had something?

Yeah, I like the system here a lot. I don't mind paying higher taxes if it goes to a good cause.

BTW, Japan has a really cool healthcare system too, might be even better than the one in Finland. I don't know enough about it to be sure, but it seems pretty awesome.

Kinda offtopic, I know.

Just out of curiocity, how much does a normal visit to the doctor cost at the states? Because here in Finland KELA covers great majority of the costs so no matter why you have to go the doctor for, be it a eg. phycisian or dentist, I think its 11 euros (~15 dollars?). I got seven teeth fixed back in 2004 and it didn't cost me a thing after the third visit.

I correct myself... I just visited the doctor today because of this... IT DIDN'T COST ME A DAMN THING. If I would've have reserved an appointment, it would've cost 12.50€. And the prescription medicine I got cost only like 7.50€, when normally it would've cost over 60€. Thank you Finnish healtcaresystem :worship:
