Vince Neil

I just dont think he can sing anymore. And it's too bad.
I'll probably still go to the reunion shows next year, but they're not an easy band to like, really. Tommy Lee is a piece of shit.

Although most of Crue's material has been inconsistent at best, they do have three classics to their credit: the debut, Shout & the Corabi record.

The Corabi record????? ewwwwwwwwwwwww :yuk: I never even considered that one a Crue album but to each his/her own... btw yes Tommy Lee is a shit and so is Vince.. actualy i dont think i ever liked any of their personalities... anyways i only liked their first 3 albums till Bob Rock got to them (much like he got to Metallica) ... ruined 2 good bands... there should be a contract out on Bob Rock lol jkk

I don't think they were inconsistent, at least not until the Swine record, you're right about those three records. Love them myself & have yet to see anyone else plug the Corabi record...

I don't know why people blame Bob Rock? I mean, he doesn't force the bands he works with to go the direction he want them to, or where his vision for the record... He simply does his job & the bands he works with have the option to remove him & move on. He does appear to become firnds with the bands & they keep working with him. He gets some killer drum sounds, a good reference of this is the '94 MC record & also The Black record...

Producers have a great influence on the final product that comes out... if they didnt they wouldn't be called producers and be hired... as for Bob Rock... so far history shows whatever he touches becomes too commercial sounding, changes directions for the worst etc... great example has always been Metallica... with Flemmin Rasmussen they had their "sound" without sacrificing but once Bob Rock came into the picture.. well we all know where Metallica headed into... same thing with Crue... only band that I think Bob did a decent job with in my opinion was with The Cult... but im with Baldy.. Bob Rock must die lol I wonder what Flemmin is doing nowadays ... whatever he is must be good though.. if anyone knows let me know...

Never been a Crue fan, sure I like a couple of songs here and there. But, to be honest I only have one CD of theirs and that's a "greatest hits" collection. I must agree about their attitudes, those types always "put me off". I think Vince looks too made up, I mean one thing is taking care of yourself and wanting to look better, now he just looks a bit over the top... specially w/that hair :err:

I'm along time Motley Fan prolly a good 12 years atleast ... I own every album atleast once over and a few 2 or 3 times over ... I love the Crew Old and New .... with Exception of Dr.Feelgood Theres a few goodies but fo r the most part that album was Trite! :)

Motley Crue is one of the greatest bands of all time in my opinion, though Tommy Lee is a dumbass sonofabitch at best. But what a great drummer....Vince has made mistakes but I think he's suffered a lot too...hopefully he'll make a good comeback...but I think every album they've done is GREAT, even MC94....for me that one was a bummer because Vince was out, but the music still rocked...kind of like Van Hagar...something changed, but it was still good...just different...but I like the original formula best.

I'm curious to know how old the guys and gals are who DO NOT like motley because it seemed like growing up they were kinda like GNR...it was hard to find somebody who honestly didn't love Motley! I'm talking from 86-90 here...just wondering...

No Kidding. Though I think there have been people that have said they dug Too Fast & Shout, they just didn't like the changes in direction & image after that...
I just saw a clip of the Tommy Lee show coming next year. And you nailed it right on the head...
I will pick up his book when it comes out, just to add it to the Crullection...
