Vinnie Vincent!

I'd love to see Vinnie Vincent Invasion and Nitro both reform and tour here! Haha! That would be the ultimate night of extreme glam metal!

But Bobby Rock would be damn tired since he drummed for both bands

(How good is the riff after the 2nd chorus of Animal????)

I got them both for free, but I used up quite a few of my 'net hours in the process :D. How long ago were they re-released on CD?

Animal is a damn fine song, but Twisted and Back On the Streets are my two faves on the first album.

Back On The Streets!

Have you heard Frehley's Comet's cover of it?   Strangely it was done in 1985 BEFORE Vinnie Vincent Invasion's version which was 1986! They covered Vinnie's demo of the song!

It is quite awful. It's much slower, there is no distortion on the guitar, the singer sucks (he's certainly no Robert Flesichmann and not even as good as Vinnie in the verses and on the demo version!), and the guitar solo puts me to sleep. The whole song puts me to sleep.

So if you want to see why Kiss got so much heavier and more energetic with Creatures/Lick It Up, just listen to the different ways Ace Frehley and Vinnie Vincent interpret that song.

Vinnie's version absolutely rips Ace's to shreds!

I love that whole debut VVI album.
"Boyz Are Gonna Rock" is a perfect album opener, great riff....
"Shoot U Full Of Love" has GREAT guitar work especially in the verses WOW (listen to how he holds the feedback and it blends in with the vocals, then he moves into that main riff then into a different awesome riff then into the feedback again and stuff, Vinnie is the man!)....
"Animal" is packed with awesome riffs and a great chorus...
"Twisted" rips and has great energy....
"Back On The Streets" is a great heavy ballad, one of my faves ever...
"Invasion" is smooooooth, what a chorus too!!! ...
"Do You Wanna Make Love?" is one of my faves on it, it RULES....
"I Wanna Be Your Victim" is has alot of bite to it...
and "Baby-O" and "No Substitute" are great too.

It's flawless I think. Well not quite, he could've made the solos slightly more melodic haha!

All Systems Go is nowhere near as biting or consistent I don't think. But "Ashes To Ashes" and "Love Kills" are two of the best VVI tracks!

Vinnie's 89/90 demo stuff rips All Systems Go to pieces. I can't wait for it to be released properly finally, which it will be soon as part of the archives releases. 3 of the songs were redone on the 1996 EP Euphoria but they are really badly produced... much too hard of an edge and no rhythm guitar behind the solos.
