Vintagey 5150III clip (EVH cab, Duncans, R-121)

k, just working with this awesome band, here's a part of a first roughmix (muted vox, strings etc)...

Anyways, we were going for a tone like "2010 Accept slaying dragons for Herman Lee"....vintage and smooth but not too muddy...
So we were using a Gibson V with Duncan pickups into the blue channel through the matching EVH cab.
Mic'd with AT250DE, R-121 and sm57....

I'm not posting this in the practice room (although I thought about it), cause it's just really to show you a IMO very typical tone of the 5153 (that's why I chose a section with just a single guitar on one side)...
this tone really is how the 5153 sounds to me...well, at least that awesome blue channel

This sounds awesome, I like how much 'chew' there is to it and how thick it is despite retaining a lot of the pick attack. Is this unboosted?

57/121 gives a really accurate representation of an amp/cab imo.
