obviously they need the money, thats why they are asking for people to make donations. I don't think they would wanna suck money out of people to party after their friend died.

and to answer your question, yes, I would give you money if your mother or father died if you made an appeal.

No offense, but since we're all being so heartless in this thread... No one gives a shit if your parents die except you/your family. I'm not saying this guy is more important, but he was in a band, had fans and some of them would like to help the family out in their time of need and ensure he gets a proper funeral.

It was an unexpected death, they might not have had insurance you know (but if they did it would pay double indemnity because it was accidental). He was only 23 not many young people have life insurance. Besides, you think his parents are like "SHIT YEAH HE'S DEAD LET'S MILK PEOPLE FOR CASH"... I doubt that, or that the band would allow that. Odds are the family is struggling to pay the medical bills incurred before death and the funeral costs, wanting to give him a nice memorial.

(P.S. Even if they had insurance they don't get the money right away)
