However, I think the "No one gives a shit if your parents die except you/your family" bit was a bit too harsh

So is insinuating their family is scamming people out of money during this tragedy. I didn't mean it harshly, I just meant that besides her family, no one would really be effected. We'd feel bad for her but that's it.
