Vocal Covers of Amon Amarth

Hey guys, I am new here, and am an aspiring vocalist. I'm 23 years old, have never been in a band, and have just been growling/screaming for my own enjoyment for about 15 months. I've been getting a bit of a good response on YouTube, but I really want to know what a metal community thinks of my covers (I have few metal friends to show this stuff to).

Next I'll be doing some Kataklysm and Vader covers, and eventually some original stuff.

(If I'm not supposed to post stuff like this here, sorry!)

I have no idea how to embed videos but if anybody knows how to do that and does it, you have my thanks.

Oh, and I also have a decent cover of Satyricon - K.I.N.G. up now..there are a few other covers on my page but thats the only one I would really call decent, the other ones are old and suck.

Practise harder, bro. I remember another thread where growling is explained. Was something with diaphragm and stomach or stuff.
But keep going, I think it will get better!

Thanks for the reply. I practice a lot/have researched a lot and I have pretty much settled into a technique. I do sing from the core, and not from my throat. I am always trying to get better.

What bands do you think my style is more suited to? I do mostly AA vocal covers so far because I have been told it suits me well.

I have no idea what happened to your comment =( I read it before it disappeared though. I understand what you mean. There will be a lot of hardcore AA fans here (like myself) who don't want to hear the songs with any vocals other than Johanns.

Well,the mic problem can be avoided in some way.

Mi mic sucks,so I have to sing keeping the mouth pretty fucking far from my mouth (from 10 cm to 30 cm for the growling,and 50 cm or more for the high screams).

In the vid I posted I wasn't still completely aware of it,so the sound is not in its perfect shape,but it's pretty close to the real sound of my voice.

I would like to,but the only thing I can do is turn down the volume of the song.

Yes,I could use some Guitar Pro files,but I hate the way in wich it sounds.
