vocal question

need a cheap easy solution(if any) to do death/black metal vocals for a band...there vocalist lives hours away and won't be able to make it down for more than a day at a time once a month.so i figured i'd loan him a spare digi oo2 i had at studio but can't loan any mics or pre's...so is there a cheap way without loosing major quality..

+1. I've done some stuff with a 57 and pop shield and it sounded decent. Maybe give that a go at the studio/ your place and make sure his mic technique is decent and check the results to see if that is an option for you.

were running the 57 threw a any kind of pre or board or just straight into the recording interface that you use
