I was looking into buying vocalign, the "pro" version is unaffordable for me atm, but the "project" version is quite a bit cheaper...
does anyone know what the linitations are?
I couldn't find info on that anywhere.....what makes the Pro version so much more expensive than the Project version?

I have the Project version, and it has been a great tool. You need pretty good doubles to begin with, but it really tightens up endings and beginnings, sibilance, etc, and it's very quick and easy to use, whereas it would take much more time and tweaking to get the same results by manually nudging things with Elastic Audio.
Apparently the Pro version has newer and more accurate algorithms, and there is also no limit to how long of a file you can process at one time- the Project version only does up to five minutes at a time, which obviously is PLENTY for working with bits and pieces of vocal tracks, but I can see how someone doing a two-hour film's worth of overdubs would get pissed if they had to run everything five minutes at a time!
That's about all I know.
