Void of Reason - Melodic prog metal

I like the singer in this band. The music is at the more straightforward, melodic end of prog so not too many extravagances to be heard. Not sure if the songwriting is grabbing my attention but it's not bad.

Whoo hoo! Some local Atlanta guys getting some recognition. VOR is talented all around and good live too. Their live harmonies are enviable and they do some damn good cover tunes! I much prefer the second CD to the first one, especially Time for Change and Drama Queen.

Anyone who hasn't should give them a listen, it's worth your while!

seriously though - check them out live - they don't disappoint!!

and their music is actually wicked awesome to use while kick boxing...if that's your thing (doesn't work so well for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu though...not sure why)

Awesome! Good to see some "local" boys getting international attention. I have their VOR CD as well and it is definitely a good listen! Kudos to Rob, Dan, and the rest of the band!
