guitars are rather big. as is the bass, but it just sounds like an unclean version of volumes

Why would you want to copy someones style, even the mix?

In my opinion the mix sounds better then Volumes' mix but still this mix is a lot more noisier when Volumes' mix is very tight and clean, especially the rhythm guitars are very tight on Volumes' record (aggressive noise gate for the win?).
