I couldn't agree with them any more! That trophy means something to them because it's voted by the fans, not some dumb committee. Awesome!

I read in an article about Iron Maiden winning The Brit that Iron Maiden fans poured in votes for this award.

The other bands only had a handful of votes for them.

Iron Maiden fans voted for about 3/4ths of all votes.

I love what Bruce Bruce said in the acceptance speech.

The fans gave Iron Maiden this award, not some committee.

I also read in another article about this, that Iron Maiden went for years being successful without The Media, and also they won a Media Award without The Media's influence as well.
