I've heard Dark Angel isn't gonna play, because Ron has had some serious injury and is now in hospital. Don't know if that's true, though. Anyway, I was gonna go there until I found out that testament'll play in my country next dey. They're headlining, so the show will be much longer than 1:15 h on Wacken. The choice was obvious (almost)
Dude!!! When I saw that lineup I had to grab on to the desk 'cause I was slipping off of my chair!!! Hell, I'll sell my sex for a trip to Wacken this year with a freakin' lineup like that!
the line ups have been degenerating over the years. this dosent look very promising aside from testament, slayer and vader.

The last 3 days I spent in Balingen, Germany on the Bang Your Head Open Air and yesterday I saw Twisted Sister ... Dee said "it´s unbelievable but the spirit of Metal and Rock ´n Roll still lives on in Europe and especially Germany" and I think he´s right ... nothing against America, I love American Bands like Testament, Slayer, etc. and I was several times on vacation in the U.S. but I never heard of big Metal Festivals beside maybe the Milwaukee Metal Fest ... all the real big Festivals are down here in Europe (except Rock in Rio in Brazil and so on) ... I´m glad I could participate all the years festivals like the Dynamo, Wacken and Bang Your Head Festival.
But on the other hand some of you are that lucky to have the possibilty of seeing bands regularily like Testament, Exodus, Metallica, etc. in the Bay Area in very special clubs like The Fillmore ;-)
Would be funny to meet up with some of you in Wacken ...

Didn't Twisted Sister make Captain Howdy? I've never heard the original, just the remake by Lefay, which is a very cool song...
I dont see the fuss over this lineup AT ALL. Aside from Testament, Vader, Assassin and of course DEW SCENTED, there's no one I care to see. (no Dark Angel either)
I for one fucking DESPISE festivals. I think theyre great for bands to get exposure, but who wants to sit through 900 sucky bands just to see the 4 or 5 killer bands each play for less than an hour?? Not too mention the ticket prices.

So what? Im just stating that I dont see why everyones getting wet over that lineup thats all, and by the way, DARK ANGEL are NOT playing. Rons hurt really bad.

and as for u ppl complaining over that line up, i think its great, and id want to sit thru those bands and maybe, just maybe, ill be interested in them, and just maybe ill expand my horizon of metal, some ppl have a limited span of metal, and others listen to all kinds of metal, and its all based on ur opinions and what u like, and dont like, as for me, i think either Slayer or Testament get the crown of Thrash kings, but thats my opinion, and you have yours, otherwise, if everyone listened to the same stuff there would only be one big named band, or maybe just few, not as many that are going to be playing at that festival, so stoke it out, either go and see who u want, or sit back and stifle, ur decision...and stop complainin back and forth!
