Well Southy, I've lived here longer than both you and Koichi (and most of the people here) so I might stay if that's alright with you. The place has kind of grown on me.

Just quietly, dont ever say you are glad to see Australia lose, it annoys Australians, especially when we were so close to winning, its bad sportsmanship, you didnt see us complaining that NZ cheated or something when they beat us fair and square in the League

Ah, but Spawny, the Kiwis beat an "understrength" Kangaroos side that time. An understrength team that still featured Darren Lockyer, Shane Webcke, Brett Kimmorley, Robbie Kearns, Luke Ricketson, Craig Gower, Craig Wing, Craig Fitzgibbon and probably plenty of other blokes named Craig, mind you, but still understrength. Apparently.

So yes, they did make excuses about that too.

Yes they were understrength, but so was NZ (werent they missing Stacy Jones?), being beaten is being beaten and I dont recall anyone here making any excuses

Yep, NZ were missing Jones, Hohaia (they were using a rookie as halfback and Nigel Vagana, a centre, as 5/8) and they were also missing Stephen Kearney and a few others I can't be bothered remembering.

Didn't stop the Aussies whinging though.

Just gotta say, the WC final was maaagnificent. Rarely have I enjoyed a win that much. Good to see John Howard take it so well too.
