Hey all.

My band is in the process of recording an album. We are tracking right now. I'd say we are halfway done with about 2 more weeks to go.

Since,... I suck at it.

Would anyone out there be interested in making it sound fat for us?

If you're interested comment, or send me a PM. Thanks!

I'm interested, depending on the quality of the recordings you provide. Any details as far as the recording process and gear used would be appreciated.

I would say, put up a song or two for everyone here to mix and see who's you like best and then pay them to mix the rest...

People need to realize this one simple fact:

My dog could make a good mix with tracks recorded by Jens Bogren, but Jens Bogren couldn't make a good mix with tracks recorded by my dog.
So I guess you don't want the job?
I agree with everyone -- there is no substitute for great tracks -- however this is a pretty common practice so you can either turn down paying work or take $ and do your best. Jens would mix your dog's tracks better than your dog would after all.

Sure! im game.
But I think it would be a good Idea to put 1 track up, for people to have a go at on the forum and then deside who will mix the rest!.

My post was directed at Ermz more than anything, more of a slightly OT side discussion.

Reading back I think I may have misunderstood the post. I think the implication was that the OP didn't feel confident doing the mix, though it was kind of hard to pick from the grammar used. Originally thought he expected someone to work a miracle on poor tracks.

Will have to tone down foruming when sleep deprived.

Anyway, good luck to all you guys that participate in whatever comes of this. A nice mix-off is always fun.

Hopefully you got my PM, I'm interested as I will have a lot of spare time soon :D

I can upload a sample later if you want of something I've done maybe.

I'd love to do it, but its been a long time i dont mix or record any quality rock/metal to show off.

I myself am not doing any recording or mixing. I was just saying that if it came down to it and I was to try, it wouldn't be that good. At all. A lot of yalls recordings are very good and I am no match.

We are almost done tracking now.

I was just going to send the tracks to whoever was interested and pay for a good mix.

If I'm not making sense, I apologize.

Just looking for help.
