Nobody answers these but I enjoy doing them anyway. Here would be a great Warrant setlist I reckon:

Down Boys
Ridin' High
Hole In My Wall
Bed Of Roses
Big Talk
Sometimes She Cries
Bonfire
So Damn Pretty (Should Be Against The Law)
Thin Disguise
I Saw Red (Acoustic Version)
Uncle Tom's Cabin
April 2031
Mr. Rainmaker
All My Bridges Are Burned
Heaven
Cold Sweat
Cherry Pie
Dirty Rotten Filthy Stinkin' Rich

I think I like Dog Eat Dog better than Cherry Pie now. Both albums have crap songs (Sure Feels Good, Hollywood, Inside Out, Love In Stereo, Song & Dance Man, Andy Warhol, etc) but the good songs are better on Dog Eat Dog. Especially April 2031 & All My Bridges Are Burned, two of the best Warrant songs ever. The two best songs they did since the first album (besides Mr. Rainmaker, easily the best on Cherry Pie).

I answered the last one  :)

In no particular order...

Cherry Pie
Mr. Rainmaker
Uncle Toms Cabin
Sometimes She Cries
Heaven
Machinegun
Undertow
Followed
I Saw Red (definitely the acoustic version)
Chameleon
Sum Of One

Obviously you have them opening up for another band with a setlist that short. :) Which is pretty realistic actually haha. Not liking the lack of songs off the debut though except the ballads... how can you not have Down Boys at least!

I only have the greatest hits, Cherry Pie and, Belly To Belly (which sucks) and Ultraphobic (which rocks) :)

do i have to pick warrant songs? how about a set full of winger or something. no?. ok then the first 2 albums and nothing after that thank you and April 2031? what are you drinking

I like April 2031 :(

Cherry Pie is ok but that's all.

Spawny you need to get the first Warrant album - by far the best. 10 tracks and 9 of them are killers (only the first track 32 Pennies I don't like much but it still KILLS the weaker tracks on Cherry Pie...). It's their most solid album start to finish.... 8 straight down the line melodic arena rock songs with big choruses and 2 awesome power ballads, can't go wrong. And if you like Cherry Pie & Ultraphobic then you have to get Dog Eat Dog because it's in between those two. It's heavier & more mature than Cherry Pie but not grungy like Ultraphobic. You will love songs like All My Bridges Are Burning, April 2031, Quicksand, Bonfire, etc.

The band also looked the best by far on the first album, oh and the Live in '89 video is great. The band at their peak right there. Great show, great sound, great look, great setlist, lots of energy.

Ive been after Dog Eat Dog for a while, ive heard plenty of people say its their best :)

I heard that alot too, I wouldn't say it's their best because there are a few bad tracks on it which let it down but the high points are certainly up there as the band's best material ever... And it's their best after the debut I think :)

But Dirty Rotten Filthy Stinkin' Rich is their defining album to me personally. When I think Warrant, that's the sound I think. That nice polished melodic arena rock sound they have on that with the big choruses, some light keys in the background here and there, and Jani's best hooks he ever wrote.

Trent, if Dog Eat Dog IS better, you still wouldnt think so because its not a total glam album, you know it and I know it :) But anyway, if you think its pretty good, and it isnt a total glam album, it must be worth the money :) :worship:

No Warrant album is a glam album anyway...

I think DRFSR is better because it's more consistent and I always like albums where I don't have to skip tracks, and also because it's a little more melodic & fun.

Have you heard Ultraphobic yet by the way? Im not sure if you will like it, but its quite good :headbang:

I've seen that and Belly To Belly both at my local Dixons for about $14 each. I'm not the slightest bit interested in Belly To Belly but everytime I see Ultraphobic I'm tempted to buy it to check out but always see other better stuff I want and end up putting Ultraphobic back.

Belly To Belly STINKS! Ultraphobic is good, but its WAY more like The Screaming Jets or something than it is their first two albums. Its a total sellout grunge/hard rock record, but its got good songs so it doesnt matter :)

Yeah, its not too grungey an album, its not tuned down or anything like that, its just a good hard rock album with a few grunge elements.

There's a few albums from that early-mid 90s era that updated their sound but without going grunge that I reckon worked really well and had some of the bands' best stuff:

Vain - Move On It (94)
Warrant - Dog Eat Dog (92)
Winger - Pull (93)
Pink Cream 69 - Games People Play (93)
Arcade - Arcade (93.. Ratt/Cinderella members)
KISS - Carnival Of Souls (95, released 97)

Etc... Motley Crue '94 wasn't too bad either but gets a better reputation than it deserves I think. I just love Hooligan's Holiday.
