gotta agree with thenightsbane. do metal fans really not like Peace Sells and RIP? those two basically define metal.

I prefer Peace Sells (and the debut) to any WASP album as well, for their peak songs. WASP is still ballsier and their first four albums are still very solid metal, and more consistent as well than any Megadeth album. But both bands are worthy of praise for their accomplishments no matter how far they've fallen both in terms of music and mental health.
The Crimson Idol isn't so great btw. Loved it the first few times I heard it, but the dated 80's glam production, the endless drum rolls, the number of ballads, and the melodrama of the story make it grate at times. If you're ever in the mood for straight-forward metal with a good amount of swagger and aggression, check out Inside the Electric Circus or (especially) The Headless Children.

RIP is a masterpiece, one of the greatest metal albums of all time and to even mention wasp in the same breath as that album (or any of their previous three for that matter) is a fucking joke.
