Watch for the brown truck in Burbank tomorrow ladies. One each. :saint:

So what was it then?

And for the record, that is one ugly ass truck!

Yep the brown truck is kinda ugly but when it brings cool stuff all is well. Today it arrived here with a new knife block. This was a 15 space and I just got a 25 space today so everything can be in it. No pic but after I stuffed it there are 3 spaces left.

Pretty much any hobby of mine, I have way to much gear.:loco: Oddly I bought the block and 2 knives from an online dealer that was having a sale on the Wusthof Trident Grand Prix knives. They are the kind of blades for the serious home cook or culinary professional. That caliber of knife is expensive but, take it from a cheap bastard, worth every penny but I digress.
Along with it all I got a coupon that paying shipping alone I can get........a 9 space knife block. :err:

Oh what did the ladies get. :p Well that is another episode of "How to keep a Scot in suspense." :heh:

Ooooh! Ooooh! Oooooooohhhhh! I know what it isssssssssss!!!!! :headbang: Something to do with something mentioned somewhere on a previous post somewhere in here on a slightly off topic part of a thread about something ...... or something like that! :loco:

This suspense stuff has a definite Hitchcockian overtone! Yer scaring me, Jimmy boy! o_O

Seriously though - that's an impressive kitchen arsenal!
Is Sun and Steel your new theme song? :loco:;)

:loco: Maybe that is why I like Sun and Steel, and Flash of the Blade, and The Duelist.

Actually just tools of the trade that make prepping a meal much easier. Chefs can be as picky about their blades as say a singer with their microphone or a drummer and their sticks :saint:
One of my favorite things I make, Sauce Piquant, takes 3 lbs of meat and damn near a 1/2 gallon of diced veggies. It was a major chore to chop all that with some old Chicago Cutlery knives. Professional blades are a night and day difference when you have that much to cut up. If I'm going over to help someone cook, I bring them with me.
