Audio Deluxe has Waves L1 on sale for $33.00. Just a heads up for anyone who didn't see it. \m/ \m/

I prefer the sound of L1 generally on tracks. Not that i don't like the L2 but as far as bus limiting goes i generally prefer Massey L2007. Hard to explain the difference between l2 and l1 but if i had to I would say that L1 sounds more aggressive.

Bought it earlier today, and well... It does what it's supposed to, very well. Been looking for a good limiter, and this fills me need exactly!

Anyone else having issues with installation/registering?

It shows up in the license center, I send it to my "device" as well as the cloud, but it won't show up in Reaper at all. Not quite sure what is/I could be doing wrong.

I recently bought C4 and it works on my other computer. It shows up in the Cloud but I can't access it on the computer I'm currently on.

I understand that I would need 2 computers online to be able to transfer licenses. But the License Center says that I have L1 registered on this computer and I cannot seem to find it anywhere. Am I retahded?!?!

Still newb to this. Halp!

I got it to work. Weird. I had to uninstall and reinstall the license center and they still didn't show up, yet there was a folder under C:/...blah blah/Waves which contained folders for the plugins.

I added C:/...blah blah/VstPlugins to Reapers VST scan directory and they showed up.

As I interpreted it, you can't have it on a device AND the cloud at the same time, so there might be your problem. If you want to transfer licences, you must first go to the computer the license is on, transfer the license to the cloud, then go to the other computer and take that license from the cloud and transfer it to the computer.

So, if the license is on the cloud, it's not on your computer, therefore you can't use it. <:

Does this mean you can only use the plugin(s) on one computer at a time, and have to switch the license back and forth if you work from 2 computers?

I believe that's the case Bryan but you can use a USB key instead. Maybe the Tim will chime in.

BTW, Musicians2 is $60 at AD and I use rencomp, doubler, ren vox, and ren axx constantly.

Damn. Well, thanks. I thought maybe once you bought it, you could use it on any computer you please. Shows what I know.

How does the USB Key work? You just use the License Center to load it onto a USB device and transfer it that way, instead of having 2 pooters online at once? Just seems like a slight hassle to use something that you paid for.

I agree in that I think all piracy protection is a hassle for legit users (and has no impact on thieves). However you could only have your iLok plugged into one computer at a time so I view this as an improvement in flexibility.

Speaking about L1, fav use for me is on snare (just a tiny db gr) or on lead vox (after my usual comp).
Also work great put after a comp on lead vocal parallel squash. :D

I think so, yes, but you can put the license on a USB-drive so the license is there instead,so you just have to plug it in the computer, much like an iLok. And I use the L1 as a mastering limiter, set to the highest release. <:

By highest I mean fastest, could perhaps have been more specific there, haha! I find that a faster release works better on my master, but when I put the L1 on my bass I have the slowest release instead. I found that setting more suited for that instrument!
