Waves SSL recommendation

Hey guys I just pick up the SSL bundle and I am stoked, my question is how would you guys suggest setting the session up. Would I run the channel plugin on the first insert of every track, and then put the compressor on the master bus or maybe just the aux busses?

I know this isn't as great as having the real thing but I would like it to be as close to sitting at a 4k board as possible.....only digital and on a computer monitor

You're on the right track - A standard SSL console will have the channel strip on every channel and the stereo comp on the master bus; set it up this way if you want to emulate a console.
