Way to go Maidens!!!

I had the priviledge of seeing them only for the second time last night at Paladino's.... I don't usually post about how great local (are they really local anymore? :)) acts are only because it's really tough to find really impressive bands anymore.

I must say that I was blown away last night. The musicianship, the presence and the electricity in the air was evident, and so much improved from the first time I saw them it was just incredible. Jen you sounded incredible!!

Thanks to the Maidens for an incredible experience.

I look forward to seeing you guys again on 3/21!!!

I missed Hangar 18 since I got there too late. :(

Hey, does anyone know if Dave (Hangar 18's drummer) got the phone numbers of any of the girls at the other table at the Denny's after the show?

I must say they are getting much better. The guitar work is getting more improved everytime as well as Jens Singing. Yes and to my surprise Wanda has improved as well. She is moving around and starting to get that Steve Harris attitude. Not that I don't like Wanda . But I really wish she would start headbanging :-D . *(The expectations of us headbangers is always a little high - Guess were hoping to recruit people into our pack :-D)

On the next note I would like to say that I loved the new bassist for creeping death and Man has Bill really started to improve his voice or what. I mean he was a kicking Ass.

Yeah, I agree. Everybody is improving. That electric vibe is really getting up there. I missed Rattleface, so not comment there. But, everybody else was great. Bill thought his last show sucked (last week at the Koz), I hope he doesn't think this one did. Jen, smack him if he still thinks so. It kicked ass! I love this line up!.... Hanger 18, Creeping Death, The Iron Maidens. Love it! This for me one of the best shows if not the best.

To McFly... sorry if my hair was hitting you while I was rocking out.

Heck, when I was shooting pictures Sunday, I was moving around the back of the stage crowd (to get to the other side of the stage), stopped for a sec and saw Wanda right behind me! I asked her about this later and she had planned to run ALL the way around the crowd to get to the other side of the stage... she's getting that confidence alright!

As I told Sara this time around, no dirt this time. I blame Paladinos for the less than perfect sound (if you want to hear where the Maidens sound best IMHO, go to their next Hogue's gig...). Both times I've been at Paladinos, I've noticed that Linda's drumming just gets swallowed up somewhat into the mix, and I think there are a few other weak points to the sound setup at Paladinos currently (the acoustic properties of the club probably have a lot to do with this).

Now, at that boot scoot club on Sunday (In Cahoots), the sound guy there did a very nice job (quality mixing without excessive volume) - I could hear Linda and everyone else very clearly, and she earned a few more fans (as did all of the Maidens...)
