Weber 8CM100 build log

Here's the build log JeffTD asked me to start.

I'm doing the 100watt 2203 clone from Weber with 4 EL34's, 3 12AX7's and the LHR OT. Leaving everything stock initially. I want to tinker with the tonestack later, but right off the bat I just want to get it working.

Here's the total parts bundle I received saturday.

Took me till today to finish building the chassis holders.

Going to start populating tonite, doing the turret board last. I'm still waiting on a batch of PTFE from apexjr so wiring will have to wait till that arrives.

I'll snap some shots tonite after I get it started.

Cheers dude, really interested in maybe doing one of these myself, so I appreciate you being my proverbial guinea pig!

That chassis holder is sick as fuck, BTW - great idea!

Just a quick update. Today was all mechanicals and layout. Spent all day (kids, wife, lawn, part finding took most of it) lining up parts, measuring, marking to drill for the 500V filter caps and eyelet board. Note, if you get this kit you should asked for an extra 3/8" and a 5/8" OD grommet, they don't send enough. Also some standoffs for the board. Trip to Fry's for grommets, nylon bolts/nutz, cable organizers, terminal block, some more shrink-wrap. Tomorrow should be drilling and checking mechanicals, maybe some install in the evening. I'll take/post pics once I've drilled.

Anyone know of a place that sells small wire looms? Something like this:
