Hey guys!
I'm having a problem and I can't figure out what is happening...

soundwavey.jpg

this is the overheads track, and I'm using some cheap mics (JTS NX9) through an Behringer ADA5000 > EMU 1820M > Cubase 5.

And all my other sound waves (toms, snare, kick, etc...) look OK. this is only happening in the overhead tracks.

Can someone help?

I do not have an audio sample... but it seems to sound fine.
So you're telling me that there is no problem on having that weird wave sound? Is that normal? Do you know what causes that?

Lolz if it sounds good it is good basically
You could slap something like an L2 across it to cut the transients
Make sure you don't shave too much off

I'm a total newbie on recording and mixing, so pardon me =P»

I thought sound waves were symmetrical... if not, it would be a problem! I was wrong though =)»

I was thinking DC Offset - but the waveforms seem to be returning to zero. Also, it's only happening on one track - which seems strange for it not to be on the others?

Worth applying the DC offset filter anyway!

i think it comes from "panning before recording"
but i am not sure about that.
i got similar looking wavfiles when recording bass,
everytime i forgot to put the input channel to the center.

cheers
