I recently subscribed to Weird Tales. I'll note that I'm to young to have been around when mainly proclaim were Weird Tales's best years. I've never read the old ones, only some stories that were in it, or publications such as Action Stories.
However, I recommend what I've read so far in Weird Tales. Supposedly, starting with the issue I got they increased the quality of the paper, and overall production. From where I sit it looks good. I enjoy the non-story info published, such as book reviews, movie review, or interviews. I've only read one story so far, and it was pretty good.
One of my goals is to finish up/or come up with something new... a story and get it published in the magazine.
