I think I like Kayo Dot written in the font used on the album cover for this type of thing, but I really like the poster.

And about the negative reviews on Amazon, can a review that ends with "For the rest of you go buy the new Linkin Park. Now that's a band that is really pushing the envelope of intellectual, extreme music." really be taken seriously?!? Could it be an entirely sarcastic review?

Man I love reviews like that, cause it is so much fun to trace back through the imaginary arguments that guy has gotten into with people who don't exist.

really he's just giving a bad review to the caricature he thinks will like the album

i only got to glance at this yesterday, and now one thing is glaring at me.

the logo type is stretched vertically, right?

I like the font, but since the poster is based on the CotE cover, I think it should probably have the CotE font to keep the theme goin'. Save that font for later use, though.

i dig the deconstructed cover very much.

but yeah, on nut butter's mention of the o'malleyish part about it - the design/writing around the edges reminds me of the khanate logo.

That poster is awesome, I want one! I see the O'Malley-ish parts but its not like thats a bad thing or a "bite". I've love shade combinations and all the lines seem to both deconstruct and reconstruct to form some kind of tentacles, and I LOVE TENTACLES!!

i thought they were for posting before the concert, for promo purposes.

any pdf-type flyer designs around? anything simple, i can write the specific show info on it by hand. but something band-sanctioned would be nicer than anything i could come up with. otherwise people may show up to see Dott, Kay sing torch songs about dogs in drag.
