We are currently recording all song with our band, basicly doing everything ourselves, although it all sound better each time we do it (this is the 4th time), it still doesnt sounds pro, ofc stuff like this takes practice. Then again, with songs to mix on here, i can achieve way better mixes. Is it that we play way to sloppy, or is it the fact that it is my own music i am mixing? Drums were played for real, edited the shit out of it, replaced kick and snare. Here is a mix: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1283560/trck05mp3.mp3 do note this is a mix, there nothing on the master.
Then again, we looking to get it mastered when its done, cant do this myself, dont have the gear or software for that. And a touch of someone else on it might be nice. If anyone feels like mastering this one, or just a sample, or add noises or whatever to it, so it is still unusable sorta, we would be gratefull. Would be nice hearing one of my own songs nicely blown up. here is the wav file http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1283560/trck05wav.wav

I think with either some timing editing, or re-tracking with extra focus on being right on the click, this wouldn't be half bad. The guitars sound a bit buried...beef up those high mids to give it some more presence. Just keep working at it dude! You don't have to have a lot of gear or software to make things sound good. Keep perfecting your technique and pay attention to the small details that you can control!
