I'm all digital and I mix ITB

I use Samplitude

RME 9652
RME ADI-8 AE

I have a bunch of Plugins but I seem to gravitate towards these:

PSP
Vintage Warmer
MasterQ
MasterComp
Mixpack

Voxengo
CurveEQ
Pristine Space
Voxformer

Ultrafunk
Compressor

Samps
Ecox
Corvex

Currently: Mackie d8b, Mackie HDR, Apogee Big Ben, and Rosetta 800.
Near Future: ProTools HD|2, with the Big Ben and Rosetta.

I don't know if I'll keep my outboard effects, or not. The finalizer and Intoator will go for sure, the reverbs may stay.

I do compress some in the analog domain when recording (vocals, drums, acoustic guitars) and EQ as well.

which finalizer do you have and what do you want for it? it would be nice to have another... one for home and one in the control room. for my money, i rate the finalizer over L2/3.

you should grab the dp 4.6 update from MOTU's site... it's a free update and adds the very melodyne-like pitch correction features. i've been using it for a while now and love it.... it's amazing the update was free.. another reason i love DP.

Mac G4 733Mhz, 1.5GB of ram.
Mac Powerbook G4 1.33ghz, 2.0GB of ram.

Logic Pro 7.1.1, Pro Tools LE 6.9.2cs4 (I think it's cs4), Waveburner, and
sometimes DP.

Pro Tools has the factory producer's bundle and all that nonsense. I mostly use Logic's native plugins and sometimes for shits and giggles the SSL listening mic compressor plugin.

MOTU 896HD, Digi002, Emagic MT4.

2 Glyph ultra wide SCSI drives (hotswap and removeable), 18gb @7200rpm, 36gb @10,000rpm.

3 Glyph GT050 drives, one is 160GB the other two are identical backups at 250GB

currently monitoring through Event's 20/20bas and TR6 as well as a pair of Auratone 5C SSC's.

that's a general overview I guess.

  • Power Mac G5, Dual 2.5 GHz with 2 gigs RAM, two 300 gig SATA drives
  • Too many external Firewire drives to mention
  • MOTU 828 Mk II firewire audio/midi interface
  • Digidesign MBox for running Pro Tools on occasion
  • Event PS8 Studio Reference Monitors
  • M-Audio Oxygen8 and Trigger Finger, Yamaha 88 key weighted controller keyboard
  • ESP guitars with EMG pickups
  • Line 6 POD XT Live
  • Ibanez TS808 tube screamer, Maxon OD 820, Boss NS-2, Lexicon MPX G2 rack with R1 controller
  • Peavey 6505+ Head with Mesa Standard 4x12 cabinet
  • Several mics, including SM57 and Audio Technica 4060 condenser
  • Mac OS X Tiger 10.4.3 (the latest)
  • MOTU Digital Performer 4.6
  • Native Instruments Battery 2
  • DFHS and BFD
  • Ivory and several other gigantic sample libraries (orchestra, etc.)
  • Native Instruments Kontakt 2
  • Native Instruments Absynth 3
  • Reason 3
  • UAD-1 card with most plug-ins
  • Semi-lame NEC flat panel monitor (will upgrade to Apple 23" Cinema Display next year)
