I was under the impression Scandinavia was at the tail end of the industrial revolution

Britain, US ... then everybody else
Actually it was first Britain, then Western Europe, then North America, later Japan, and then everywhere. :loco: ;)
I guess he was referring to Europe as a whole (including Britain, which is also Europe even if they don't like it :lol: )?
But afaik the the industrialization in Scandinavian countries if you don't count Europe as a whole was indeed nearly 150 years late compared to Great Britain.
