What DEAD musicians have you seen live?

Johnny Ramone (Ramones)

Kurt Kobain (Nirvana)
Chris Oliva (Savatage)
Valfar (Windir) you can see me on the DVD meeting him.
Raybeez (singer for Warzone)
Lance Hahn (Cringer / J Church)

Lance Hahn died???
Are you serious? I heard he was sick.
He was a super cool dude!!
I booked J CHURCH a few times, very professional.

When did you see NIRVANA?

How was Acid Bath live? I'd kill to go back and see them.

I don't remember much about the show. I do know that I had never heard of them before the show and afterward, I went out looking for their releases. They must have impressed me or I wouldn't have done that.

I'll try to look up who they opened for. Not sure if I still have the ticket stub or have it written down somewhere.

yeah, Lance died about 3 months ago fro Kidney failure or something. He was a real nice guy.

I saw Nirvana back at the Metro two weeks before they broke huge with "Smells Like Teen Spirit". It was so funny to see how two weeks would completly chance who was there to see them.

An interesting question would be....would some legacy's be there if a certain musician never died at that time....for example.

Would Jimmy Hendrix be the legend he is today? What if he never died, would he have gone on and faded in obscurity?

Look at the list...most of those people would either still be playing music and having ok careers while some would just be never talked about.

Oh absolutely.
There is no doubt that dying generates interest in a musician.

I mean, come on...
Critics call Kurt Cobain a "poet"
Granted, I like some Nirvana, but I would hardly call him a poet.

Oh wait, I didn't post a list here, that was at the old Metal Maniacs forum about 8-10 yrs ago. Oh well, Rick's on it now. I hope his transcendence to that G.G.I.T.S. was peaceful. R.I.P. Rick

Must be a really kick-ass band over there on the other side.
