What did devy do before Sex & Religion

yeah,ive always wondered that.

i think maybe vai just auditioned fans really.and chose the best one.and he couldnt have chosen a better person.

i love that album.my brother bought it when it came out in 93,i was 9 years old.we used to liten to it and play on our commodore amiga.along with megadeth too.ive always loved that album.

I'm pretty sure Sex and Religion came out early 90s too....between 91-94.

Anyway...
Devy had a band in highschool called Grey Skies....something like that....

He sent a demo to Relativity records when Vai was searching for a vocalist.

You can find 3 songs from that demo redone on the "Ass-Sordid Demos CD)

"Man"
"Promise"
"Red Tommorow"

I believe...

and a hilarious song called "Road Kill" from his high school band, among other pre-Vai goodies...check out that CD!!!

I thing you can find it at theendrecords.com if it is sold out at hevydevy.com
