dimebag maybe,i wish DamagePlan would have went farther loved them and love pantera. Iommi possible but steve vai, malsteem, and petrucci (great guitarists)but you cant really compare them to zakk cause there all in different catagorys, but i believe the only guitarists that would possible be better would prob be kirk hammett,Marty Friedman, and Jimmi Page.
Man, where the fuck did you learn to spell like that? :hypno:
ZAKK WYLDE IS AN OK GUITARIST FOR WHAT HE CHOOSES TO PLAY, BUT HIS VOCALS ARE PURE SHIT.
Jimmy Page I have respect for as far as the legacy he had created for himself. His playing, however, is not really my style. But he's a real cool dude. I actually somehow ended up on the same airplane with him going from Atlanta to London in 96 and had a chance to literally speak to him until the topics ran out. And I still think that the only reason he actually cared to carry on a conversation with me was because I never was a huge Zep fan and it was purely about playing guitar.

They're awful, and Zakk Wylde is totally overrated

I agree 100%
Once you reach a certain level in guitar it is all simple
I think Zakk Wylde is overratted
I also think Petrucci, Malmstein, Vai, Dimebag, and all shredders are overratted. now they have talent, don't get me wrong. but they can all play each others shit
playing fast is one of the easiest ways to sound good
and i don't want to hear any shit about petrucci's stint at berkley because if you pay attention to his solos, he didn't learn shit. A chromatic scale (1213141516 up and down the neck) played really fast on a downtuned guitar is easy as shit.
i think they all have talent, but they are nowhere near the "best guitar player in the world"

^Yeah, sure those 'artists' can be impressive but I wouldn't listen to their music and appreciate it as a form of art and expression, which is the main reason I listen to music.

...and with BLS songs I find myself waiting for the solos... the riffs are usually quite dull and shallow... and even then, the solos get boring and repetitive too.
