What happens with blown speaker?

What actually happens when a speaker blows , does the voice coil seperate from the cone? I m pretty sure one of my v-30s blew,is it trash?

it's done with. imagine if the tendons in your elbow or knee blew out. they'd give you a new one.

Sounds real bassy and distant,still sounds like a guitar(just not a good one)

Just a quick physical test to check the voice coil. Push the cone in and out, if you can feel a grinding or rough motion when doin this, your voice coil has blown.
