1 bottle of red wine
3-4 hours playing time on Castlevania: Lament of Innocence
2 chicken salad sandwiches from Via Via Pizzeria(with french fries)
1 basic home recording setup now fully functional
10 hours of sleep per night(approx)
1 ticket to see Napoleon Dynamite(amazing!)
1 possibly successful attempt at asking a girl out on a date

right now its just:

protools free
line 6 pod for guitar sounds(lent to me by sam)
korg keyboard

its nothing that sounds great but i just need it to finish writing stuff for my solo stuff that will eventually get recorded in the studio.

ah, that's pretty much the exact same stuff I have, except I took most of my shit down b/c I never found time to finish anything. and my main guitar broke and I'm too poor/lazy to get it fixed.

well i am in solo-writing mode and i needed some kind of setup because writing blistering solos is hard when your electric guitar isn't plugged into any amp and you are playing along with a low volume cd player.

greg- is this a PC? if all you're using the home recording stuff for is home/ideas (and not exporting to studio), you might want to consider a VST-based program like Krystal (which is free and has more tracks than PT Free) because there are literally TONS of free amp-modelling VST plugins out there. there are some really really good ones, and then you wouldn't necessarily need the line6. just a thought. but the VST plugins don't work with PT unless you get that VST-RTAS plugin converter which is like $80-100.

but the plugins are fun and sound really decent.

those plug-ins aren't live processors, are they? I know there's all sorts of post-production processors out there, but I always like to hear what I'm doing as I'm doing it.
