Delegation in "Seselj shirts"
STRASBURG, Wednesday (B92) - Members of the Serbia-Montenegro delegation visited the Council of Europe's parliamentary building wearing t-shirts with the image of accuse war criminal Vojislav Seselj emblazoned across the front.
The shirts were not as noticeable on Tomislav Nikolic and Dragan Todorovic, who were wearing jackets over the shirts.
Parliamentary Assembly President Peter Schieder did notice, however, and commented on the gesture of the Serbian Radical Party members visiting the parliament.
"Several members of this parliament were seen wearing shirts with the image of an accused war criminal on them. We at the Council of Europe believe in free speech and are taking what they have to say very seriously. Without hiding my personal distaste for such behavior, I've decided not to punish them. They were, in fact, wearing the shirts underneath their jackets, either because they were cold or because of their lack of courage. Whatever the case may be, their actions today demonstrate not only their poor taste in politics, but in fashion as well." Schieder said.
