the difference being that you probably know what you're doing and positioning the mic correctly in the 1st place
truth.. there are a lotta shitty engineers out there that just don't give a shit one way or the other
I have had guys take my mic before (I always use Heil PR30s on guitars) and turn it sideways (it's an endfire mic but it LOOKS like a side address) , I'm just dumbfounded.. like you really think I'm that stupid that I don't know which way to point the mic at the cab?
