Meh, I'm tired of seeing this around- I must correct it.

I love this band and when I got to see them I asked Joe if they had been using EVH or 5150's most of their careers because on older videos on youtube they had been using Recs with Marshall cabs and he said pretty much:

"we started with marshalls back in the day but once we got the Recs we sticked with those all the way up until this point for the U.S tour" where they were using the EVH amps. Recent shows in europe they've been seen with Peavey 6505's but I thought EVH broke away from Peavey? And Dual Recs have also been seen on stage with Boogie Cabinets. Who knows what's going on now.

So, yeah no 5150's for the most part until recently. An interesting note- my buddy said he asked a roadie what the deal was with their sound and he said "lots of reverb"

not sure if that's true or not.

An just because V5 and a few others said FMtS is bad doesnt mean it is.
It's a great album as long as you arent expecting a full blown death metal album.

Bad? From Mars to Sirius is one of the best metal albums of the last few years. Full on death metal? Most full on death metal albums suck anyway.

Gojira is at their best when they step away from full blown death.
