RUSH - Partial Snakes & Arrows Tour Setlist Revealed

Posted on Saturday, June 09, 2007 at 14:22:14 EST

RUSH fansite RushIsABand.com has posted a partial setlist from a source who has heard the band rehearsing in Toronto. The following songs were heard in their entirety:'Circumstances', 'Entre Nous', 'Witch Hunt', 'A Passage To Bangkok', 'Freewill', 'Natural Science', 'Digital Man', 'Subdivisions', 'Between The Wheels', 'YYZ', 'Tom Sawyer', 'Spirit Of Radio', 'Mission'. Also heard/played were about eight songs from Snakes & Arrows.

AND the drum solo by Neil is going to hit a new level of innovation and inspiration. Can't say yet what it will be, but any fans of phenomenal drumming, or even mild interest in a damn good drum solo are going to have their heads blown. This show is an absolute MUST!

As I recall, the first date is in Atlanta, so I'd expect them to be practicing here on Tuesday at the latest. They usually practice in an arena/amphitheater setting before the first date of any tour. At one time, they booked their first tour date in a B-market city (Pensacola, anyone?) to make it easier.

Can't have a Rush concert without Neil banging away on the drums on one of his famous drum solos! :kickass:

June 23rd can't come soon enough! (the date they play Nissan Pavilion near Washington, DC)

A lot of new stuff in the set list is the rumor. Look for at least one never played live. along with a few they haven't played in awhile. Don't expext a repeat of the last tour which was a "re-visited" thing. This will be Rush at their innovative best.

Knowing they have a FULL day after the kickoff show and before the second show here in West Palm, I am wondering where Neil will be riding to on Thursday. :)

Yea, he's doing the whole thing by motorcycle again. Pretty wild. I gotta get that book he wrote about doing it in the US and Europe for that last tour.

YES - ROADSHOW is a great read for sure!

Its one of those silly things that knowing he (and his riding partners) would be tooling around locally, makes think about taking the day off and just hang around the local area of the venue for his eventual ride in....

But knowing that that kind of stuff really turns him off, the idea dies pretty quick.

Just hope he's safe out there - in Roadshow he talks about the fact that with ALL the places in the entire world he has ridden, south florida drivers scare him the most.:hypno:

Well, many times I'd have to agree with him

Eager for the first report from Atlanta tomorrow from the show tonight

Sat morn I'll try and get a review up asap. :kickass:

(listening to 'We Hold On' at work right now :) )

Great concert. My first Rush concert. no warm up band. They payed for nearly 3 hours with one break. Songs from Snakes and Arrows were:
The Main Monkey Business
Far Cry
Working them Angels
Spindrift
Malignant Narcissism
The Larger Bowl
Hope

Between the Wheels was played as well.
