What song is this riff from!?!?!

Ok

I woke up the other day with this riff stuck in my head.
I cannot figure out what song/band it's from and its driving me insane!

So i quickly recorded the guitar parts and posted it to my friends on facebook.
I was pretty sure they would be able to get it, but when they didn't, it kinda made me start to think i'd wrote in my sleep, but i'm still pretty certain it's an actual song.

So over to you guys!



It sounds like it's from the end of a song, and this riffs keeps playing over and over while it fades out.

I didn't put any drums in cus I couldn't be arsed to program them out, but there are meant to be drums in the riff.

Can't help you, but even if it is someone else's riff, you could pull a Dallas Toler-Wade and just tell your bandmates you wrote it in your sleep instead of admitting to them you "subconsciously" lifted it it from something you heard the night before.

The closest riff to that I can think of is Down From The Sky - Trivium. But that's far off, so I doubt it :/
