trouble figuring out a riff

alright the thing is that I was listening to the first rapcore/numetal record from a Finnish major label (KMA - Ääripäät) from my record collection and I heard this pretty cool riff in it. I tried to play it myself, but I just couldn't figure it out.

rhythm guitars I figured out, they are just go D#5, hammer-on E5, E5, and 2 muted notes (and alternatively G5 to G#5 depending on the part), but it is the lead that is bothering me. I got the intervals of the moving parts of the lead melody pretty much down (it goes down chromatically in halfsteps, B A# A G#), but I couldn't catch the other notes around the chord. To me it sounds like chords that are being played, but is it just single note melody?

I think it just sounds like there's just another one played an octave higher/lower, in two different takes.

yea its just an octave. lead sounds like its played on the a string and the g string (2 frets above what your fretting on your a string) and its just hitting the octave. is that what you mean? or did i understand it wrong?
