What Suxxx about this mix?

Doing some finals work, having trouble deciphering between a mix problem and a mastering problem, wanting more of everything, punch, clarity and somehow more fullness, i feel like i'd have to start subtracting though at this point... Sooo lost....

Yah it was a combo, between a pod deity model and an actually triple rec stereo micd with a 57 and a KSM44, nothing before, all tracked on an ESP Eclipse Standard. Hate to say it but the pod came out as the dominant tone. My problem is like i feel like it doesn't boom or jump out enough, am i squishing to tight in mastering? or do i just need to turn up drums? or possibly find a low mid frequency that's muddying it up but not going to make my mix sound scooped
