i have no idea whats wrong with my mixes they sounds soo muddy and fake(i hate my snare samples) and when i try take the mud out it sounds weak (see a sudden tragedy) any one hear any thing that i could maybe do to get rid of that wierd cloudy sound? http://www.myspace.com/dota12purple

without getting too detailed, upon first listen I thought;

- the guitars had too much high end (kinda scratchy sounding, could be a spike in a certain frequency)
- drums need more verb or some sense of space and could use more kick volume IMO
- bass needs more presence in the mix. That will fill up you're mixes instantly

These are all just my opinions based on my tastes. Also, if you uploaded your mixes on something better than myspace, it would be easier to judge

ah i totally would but i dont actually have any of the files on my computer here. but thanks ill try doing some of the stuff you said
