What to expect from Metallica's new album

I forced myself to listen to St. Anger all the way through over 20 times and the songs started to become very catchy. With Death Magnetic though I didn't have to do that, I liked them from the start. I'm expecting similar competence from the next album, though probably not quite as good as Death Magnetic. Maybe a mixture of Reload, Death Magnetic, and Lulu

So you basically bash shitty albums into your head until you're confused if you like them or not.

They're probably all a bit burnt out and surrounded by people who tell them their shit smell beautiful.

I expect it to be some gay attempt at a new thrash album with weak songwriting and production that cost a million billion drillion dollars but sounds shit and was done by someone who doesn't understand metal.

:danceboy: Yes.

This is true...I still believe that Kill Em All is one of the best Thrash Metal albums along with Rust In Peace, Darkness Descends, Pleasure To Kill, and Reign In Blood.

I don't really like Kill Em All that much but it's not a bad album by any means. More deserving of "classic" status than shit like Death Fagnetic or the self-titled.

Kill 'em All has Seek & Destroy,The Four Horsemen,No Remorse,The Phantom Lord. FUCK, these are easily the best Metallica songs. I do prefere Ride The Lightning as an album.

I just don't understand why their so popular..

I mean almost every single thrash band I listen to is better than metallica in every single way possible and if you think james can still sing your either retarded, a lying motherfucker with no life or a person who spends hours trolling megadeth videos saying they suck and that metallica is better.

Its sad that people are still arguing about megadeth vs metallica too, and why does metallica have to make me listen to their god awful shit anyways? Plus their fucking LOADED and they could of retired 5-10 years ago instead of making everyone think metal sucks. Hell I think metallica are a worse icon then all the screamo shit these days, my cousin listened to a song of their newest album and immediately said "what in the fuck is this?"

Here's a short poem I wrote 36 seconds ago.

There was once a band named metallica who sucked complete dick with a terrible drummer names lars ulrich...
Even though they tried, anyone who says their good lied, every time I heard them play they ruined my day, and anyone who thinks their the best metal band is gay.

What the fuck

I just want them to do what they want and not try to be something they are not. I feel like they strayed from their path after the Loads. You can think whatever you want about the Loads but I felt that that was what they wanted to do. Slow it down, rock it out. Then they felt they wanted to be metal again but misjudged everything with St Anger. They realized their mistake and made Death Magnetic but somewhere along the way it seems like they forgot how to write metal songs with a good flow to them (I do think it has its good moments though). And lets not speak about the horrible sound on that disc. With Lulu I have no idea what they tried to accomplish.

So basically, I just wish they would look into themselves and put out what comes from the heart. For me it hasnt felt like theyve done that in a long time.

Pretending part of their former self was spot on, and i too, get that feeling from death magnetic. Unlike many others i like st.anger because it feels real. Only major problem with that album is the lack of guitar solos.
One is the single that crushed my balls long ago and thus i will always check up on metallica time to time.

I liked Load to be completely honest. I would be happier if they made hard rock rather than trying to force out some thrash that really isn't in their hearts.

The songs on DM just sound so disjointed and forced together, although i am a fan of The Judas Kiss, one of the best songs since AJFA. There are some cool riffs & moments on DM, it just doesn't gel too well as a whole.
