Hey there

Been wondering about how to protect my gtrs and the bass from all the terrible and excessive dust in my room, without the hassle of having to store them in the hard cases evry 5mins, but actually leaving them on the (floor) stands--

I've looked around a bit and there's a lot of cloth covers for heads and cabs, but I'm yet to see any for guitars/bass. I've been thinking about getting some cheap blankets but I don't wanna fill the room with colorful sheets. Black (satin-like) blankets are actually not easy to get and not the cheapest either. Still I guess there's gotta be a better solution than blankets?

Do you pplz put covers over your gtrs or any other gear?

Thanks

How do protect from dust?

I'm too wondering what material is good for protecting set up mics/guitars ect. against dust, if it makes any difference? Cotton? Satin? Super XYZ Whatever NASA Anti-Static?

This weekend I've been moving everything around in my room to accomodate my new 2x12 cab and I can tell you towels work much better than sheets or guitar covers (I used those as well), as towels are much thicker, less static-prone than a sheet, I think, and definitely protect much more from heavy dust (I vaccummed and cleaned all the furniture and non-gear stuff with moist cloths like crazy, covered all gear with towels).

Not the classiest thing to the eye, but IMO certainly the most practical :)
