Anyone who likes Phil Collins and epic-yet-understated (ie- song-centric, not technique-centric) prog should check them out.
I've dug up a few of their earlier albums to keep me amused in the car and at work and fuck a nun with a chainsaw if it isn't some of the most awesome music ever recorded. Still as scrote-clenchingly moving many years later.

Looks like Nightwish haven't changed for the better and the trend continues... even better orchestrations and more epic choruses let down by dead boring verses barely even worthy of a pop band. Pretty much every fucking song follows the formula of a decent intro then dropping off everything for a generic drum beat and maybe a couple bass notes and chugs in the background. "Master Passion Greed" and "Whoever Brings The Night" are the only songs to hold my interest for more than a minute without giving me the shits so far.
