Whats the best head for the job?

I need a new head for my Crate cab, the specs are- power handling:200w
Impedance:16 ohms

specific heads would be nice! or if you could just tell me what specs the head would need. n00b,i know, I'm young. with that being said,it needs to be affordable

A used Peavey 5150/6505 for modern stuff or a Marshall JCM800 for old school tones, then! You might have to look around a bit to snag one for six hundred bucks, but it's not a rare deal.

You live in Indiana so it is totally possible to find a used 5150 for $600. Then get a tube screamer and a noise gate and you will not be disapointed.

If your budget gets really tight check out the Peavey Windsor head. If you shop around you can pick up a used one for really cheap sometimes. They sound pretty cool too.
