SPASIBA AX.
Here's mine.

Ulver - Nattliete
Hammering Moss - pleng2

it progresses from weird post rock to Celloish chamber music to jazz and then ends..

Good little cd that lives in my car..

I hate to butcher up albums too, but I have one of Opeth that I listen to all the time, comprised of:

April Ethereal
When
Epilogue
Serenity Painted Death
Moonlapse Vertigo
Patterns in Ivy
Bleak
Night and the Silent Water
and, finally, To Bid you Fairwell. I get dreams O plenty when I sleep with it playing.

I personally have perfected the art of making compilation CD's (at least to make me happy). I have 10 in my car, and a 120 song MP3 compilation for my computer at work.

On the car ones - my only rule - a band can only be on a particular CD once.

Opeth - white cluster
Arch Enemy - The immortal
Iron Maiden - Powerslave
Dimmu Borgir - Puritania
In Flames - Ordinary Story
Opeth - The drapery falls
Opeth - april ethereal
Terror 2000 - crypt of decay
Rob Halford - made in hell
Agathodaimon - spirit soldier
Soilwork - millionflame

That would do it for a couple of days, and then i would change it :)

called "fast forward" and consisting of the following tracks:

Daemonarch - Of A Thousand Young
Amon Amarth - Bleed For Ancient Gods
Amorphis - Against Widows
Arch Enemy - Diva Satanica
EverEve - The Downfall
Fear Factory - Demanufacture
In Flames - Artifacts Of The Black Rain
Samael - The Ones Who Came Before
Old Man's Child - Millenium King
Metallica - Metal Militia
Covenant - Dragonheart
Therion - Invocation Of Naamah
Carcass - Heartwork
Totenmond - Öfter Mal Ins Blaue
Machine Head - Davidian

don't ever listen to these in a car

thank you and good night

I especially like Epilouge into Serenity Painted Death, I will have to try this.

My favourite lately has been one I made with Covenant, VNV Nation and Funker Vogt.
(Are these bands going to get me in trouble on an Opeth forum?)

My ex used to make me some excellent compilation tapes all the time. Too many good ones to list. A lot of death/doom/gothic metal bands on a lot of them.

Addition:
I didn't make it myself, but I love listening to Beauty in Darkness Vol. 2.

i had some marvellous tape back when i was doing the "workaround" for my army service, which was driving old and handicapped people around and bringing them their warm meal at noon. if i used this tape (consisted of samael, evereve, machine head, and much more) i was finished with the tour nearly 10 minutes earlier :) and some asshole got it out of the car while cleaning it up (we shared the food driver job), putting it on a windscreen wiper of the adjacent car in the garage. of course he forgot he hat put it there, and the next day i drove the car out (i was in a hurry), and in a sharp corner i saw my belowed tape flying off the windscreen on the street, where it shattered into a thousand pieces. man i was angry.

I haven't made many, but here's my "best". It goes over an hour, but my dad picked up these 98 minute CD's somewhere. Here goes:

01 Brujeria - Revolucion
02 Sanctus - Thy Desolution
03 Dimmu Borgir - Puritania
04 Drowning Pool - Bodies
05 The Ernies - Here and Now

08 Prong - Snap Your Finger Snap Your Neck
09 Destroyed by Anger - Withdrawal of Compromise
10 Testament - Careful what you Wish for
11 Pitchshifter - Triad
12 Power Man 5000 - When Worlds Collide
