:Shedevil:

I've seen several here. Is the band really using them? I've seen one pic where Bush is wearing a T-shirt with a pentagram.

Isn't that a little bit Slayer-esque? Didn't think Anthrax were into that.

I don't really care, mind you. But it seems weird almost.

Its got an A inside the pentagram which is like their new logo. It's only kinda tongue in cheek though; nothing meant by it apart from maybe a laugh.

the whole pentathrax thing is a bit stoopid huh......jeez man its not like everyone there wears a cross is a devout christian......

get over it huh, its just a made up symbol......it don't matter it just looks cool thats the main thing.....

I thought I made it clear I wasn't upset about it. It just seems to be a differenct image, that's all.

I don't think he said that at all. He was like me, I posted something about it weeks ago. I thought it was unoriginal because Slipknot, Slayer, and Venom are into pentagrams, not Anthrax. I also think it is looney to turn the Fantastic Four logo into a Pentagram. Everyone has an opinion. And, I think I was right in predicting that a lot of people would think "Anthrax and pentagrams huh??" Cause that seems to be a revolving post theme.

Thank you. It wasn't like I was bitching about the pentagram logo. In fact, I might get a shirt with it, if they sell them.

But, yeah, I think it is a bit of an already done thing and not really part of what I thought Anthrax's core image was.

In the Billboard remarks, Scott says that they were "pigeonholed" in the '80's as thrash metal and now they take more chances. Well, yeah, but the pentagram doesn't really make them appear different than thrash. "And what's the matter with being thrash?", I must ask.

No problemo. Not a whole lot of people here are as smart as us.

Speaking of Venom (which nobody ever does nowadays and with good reason) Anthrax' support in Dublin last night, the not very good Coldwar had taken the cover of "Welcome to Hell" and just put their band logo across the top instead of Venom's. How lame? THAT lame. Also the first act, Swarm: if you're ever in Ireland make sure you avoid them because they blow and suck and the same time.

i love the "A" pentagram logo and also will be getting whatever tshirt has it. i'm a designer/illustrator myself and think the idea is brilliant. they're metal, and proud of it; pentagrams and devil horns (dio-style w/your fingers) are just part of the deal these days, they're embracing it. it's nice to see anthrax use the pentagram in a way that's unique to them. it always amazes and inspires me when a designer can use an image (a pentagram in this case) that seems completely played out and over done in a way that's fresh, clever and in this instance, suited perfectly for the band. it seems to be keeping with the theme of the record (image-wise anyway, haven't heard the tunes yet). props to whoever came up with that one...

Isn't that the sign for Jehovas Witnesses??????
Damn this board is gettin stupid, bring back Buddy!!!
Every day there are like 25 new ones, hate it , bring back the old days just a couple ones that everyone is responding to!!!

Got a new one who is a better singer John or Joey!!

Glad to see Trax live next week , gives me something interesting to talk about!!

Argh, they have both their weaknesses and strengths. I like Joey and John, their so different in vocal strengths! I dunno, I cant see John being able to pull off some of the ones Joey did and vice versa really.
