Just noticed it's available on Cd Inzane. I've seen no sites review it yet, never saw it in CD Inzane's "Coming soon" section, and no buzz on metal sites in general.

How did a new album from this band sneak up on me? Anyone have it? How good is it?

They changed their direction to a more straight heavy metal sound then a Power/Prog metal band, or "Mystic" metal according to themselves. It's a rawer Shaaman (Now it's called Shaaman). I didn't like it first but now I dig it. Not as good as the first one IMO though.

They didn't change the logo, but the name of the band changed to Shaaman, for legal reasons..

I didn't even bother buying the album. I heard a few songs and they were awful.

Got it today surprisingly, and i think it is a solid album. People need to remember that this is not Angra, and I commend Matos for staying true to metal, but not trying to re-create Angra. It is a solid album that everyone should have.

I don't know.. I don't like this direction at all...

don't get me wrong, I am a huge matos fan.. But I miss the Holy Land days..

It doesn't need to sound like Holy Land.. But 80ish metal they are playing nowdays is not really my thing..

I like what Angra is doing better, even though I like matos better than Edu...

I wouldn't worry. Angra also kept on moving from straight metal to Holy Landish stuff when Matos was there.

This is Shaman's Fireworks, and from the soundclips I've heard it's actually better than Fireworks.
