This is what the signal chain will be like, and ill put smilies next to the pieces i already have;

Sennheiser Digital Wireless 1000 Series :headbang:

Sabine RT-7100 rack tuner !!:headbang:

Line 6 POD Pro Preamp (only for the modeled amps) !:headbang:

Rocktron Intellifex LTD !!:headbang:

dbx 231 Graphic Equalizer !!:headbang:

Alesis 3630 Compressor !!:headbang: (Im selling this on ebay, i don't need it)

ENGL 2X60 Watt Power Amplifier and of course,

Marshall 300 Watt Cabinets

Tell me what you think

sounds pretty damn nice to me!! tell me is that pod of yours something you would recomend to a guy wanting a 'high gain super beast amp' without having to go buy a mesa or something along the lines? i was thinking of getting a marshall avt head and using a pod as the preamp, would it be worthwhile?

Guitars: Ibanez RG 520 and RG770FM (2001 model, only in japan and UK), Takamine 2000LTD acoustic, Takamine 12 string acoustic.

cab: Marshall 4x12

Rack:
#1 the Black Head= Mesa Boogie Triaxis preamp, TC Electronics G major, Mesa boogie 20/20 power amp

#2 the Blue Head= RockmanXPR, Rockman MIDI octopus, Rockman Stereo Chorus, Rockman Stereo Echo, Rockman 12 band EQ, Rane 14 band MIDI programable EQ. Power is supplied by the mesa 20/20 also.

Now you're probably asking "why the Rockman?" Well I'm a Boston nut too so I just wanted to start collecting them since they are no longer being made, but some other Rockman users are even more dedicated to the sound and have lots and lots of more modules than I have, but it's all a preference...

But if there is one or two things to absolutely have by Rockman, it's the chorus and the Sustainor. I plan on putting a sustainor inthe Black Head just to have the clean tone which is Solid state, but is so much better than the triaxis clean. just need to program the G major with its switching capabilities.

Wow...I thought MY setup was good, then I see...these...

Line 6 Spider I 112, with floorboard
Soon some rackmount EQ dealy...hopefully

Yay...Stuff!

main guitars:

Ibanez custom saber-7 with custom-wound dimarzio blaze p-ups
Ibanez RG7-something or other with custom-wound duncan invaders
Schecter Jazz-7 with custom dimarzios
White Ibanez Universe (stock)

main amp:

150-watt Line6 Vetta Combo running 2.03 software
into two genz-benz g-flex 2x12 extension cabinets (lynch signature series)

hey, you like your 20/20? Im getting either that or the 2:50 with my tax money, and Im just wondering what your opinion is of the 20/20..is the 20/20 tonefull enough and will it be quiet enough in a apartment while still keeping the tone, but still not be drowned out by a full drum set at practace? and is that a 1960a marshall cab?

I definitely like the Guitarport as far as sounds are concerned. I think it leaves POD and POD II way behind, however the problem is of practical nature. Sometimes it likes to use half of my system resources, which makes it difficult to do "proper" recording with a demanding sequencer like Logic or Cubase. Because of that a hadn't plugged it into my system for quite some time now, and somehow I lost the damn usb cable and have to buy another one to use it again. When I have it back working we definitely can trade some sounds. I'll get in touch with you...

oh, much much better child labor there...

ROFL.

Anyway, soon I'll be replacing my cheap-ass Strat with a Jackson DK2, I think.
Adding that to my.. ¤sigh¤ Marshall MG15DFX, I'll MAYBE be able to produce some nice sounding pinch harmonics.....

Ah well, it's good enough for me right now. :)
